Antony Sweeney
Hartlepool United FC




Born 5 September 1983 in Stockton-on-Tees, Tony is a professional footballer and midfielder for Hartlepool United in League One.  Tony finished the 2010/2011 season as top scorer with 14 goals. He was Player’s Player of the Year and Fans Player of the Year and has now played nearly 300 times for the Club. 


Carl Winchester
Oldham Athletic FC

Born 12 April 1993 in Belfast, Carl is a Northern Ireland international football player who plays for Oldham Athletic.
After visiting Oldham Athletic on trial in April 2010, (along with BHP Sport’s Ryan Burns) he agreed to join the club in May 2010 on a two year scholarship. Carl has recently been called to the full Northern Ireland International squad and made his debut for the full international team on 27 May 2011 against Wales.

Michael Joseph Kay
Tranmere Rovers FC

Born 9 December 1989 in Consett, England, Michael is an English footballer who plays for Sunderland AFC. Former England Under-17 international he joined Sunderland's academy aged 8 years and progressed through the ranks before making his professional debut in 2009. He regularly captained Sunderland's reserve team during the 2009–10 season.  At the end of the 2010-11 season he was offered a contract with Tranmere Rovers where he has since scored his first league goal and shown a very high level of consistency in the First Team.

Jamie Chandler
Darlington FC




Born 24 March 1989, Jamie is an English professional footballer who plays midfield.  He currently plays for Darlington, having made his debut in the Football League in 2009 while on loan from Sunderland.  Jamie signed his first professional contract in 2007, and at the end of the 2009–10 season,  signed a two-year deal with Darlington FC where he was voted Young Player of the Year for 2010/2011 and was a big part of their FA Trophy success.

Nathan Fisher
Gateshead FC

 


Nathan started his career at Middlesbrough, where he played in the youth academy from 2005 to 2007.  He went on to play in Gretna's youth team and made his Scottish Premier League debut in 2008. Nathan moved on to Chester-le-Street Town where he scored 45 goals in 62 games and in June 2010, signed for Conference National side Gateshead. Finished 2010/2011 with 13 goals in 21 starts.

Michael McLellan
Preston North End FC
 




Born 22 January 1993, this Northern Irish footballer is one of several Northern Ireland U17 internationals in the current PNE youth set-up.  He also represented his country in the acclaimed Victory Shield tournament during 2008/09 and played in the U17 international set-up whilst still an U16 player.

Paul Weldon
Middlebrough FC






Born 27 November 1991, Paul has signed a two-year deal with Middlesbrough FC and turned professional in July 2010.   Paul is a versatile player who can operate in the centre of defence or anywhere down the left side and is very highly regarded.

Matthew Godden

Scunthorpe FC







Matthew started his career at Scunthorpe United and signed his first professional contract at the end of the 2008-09 season. He made his debut during the 2010-11 season, in September against Manchester United in the League Cup and made his league debut in December 2010, against Burnley. Matthew is lethal in front of goal and has finished each of the last 2 seasons as top scorer in the reserve side.

Ryan Burns

Born 8 September 1992 in Belfast, Ryan is a Northern Irish player. He joined the club in May 2010 on a two year scholarship. Ryan started his career with Cliftonville where he was capped by Northern Ireland at Under-18 level. 

David Mellor

David is a strong left-back or midfielder and spent last season in the Oldham youth team squad on a full-time basis.

Dan Taylor

Born 17 March 1993, Dan is top scorer for the under-18's so far this term and is a strong and determined centre forward. Dan is in his final year of scholarship and is looking forward to new challeges this season where hopefully he can earn his first pro-contract.

Matthew Berkeley
New Saints FC


 



Born August 3, 1987 in Manchester, Matthew is an England striker, currently with The New Saints. He is a Saint Kitts and Nevis Under 20 international and signed for Welsh Premier League side The New Saints in 2009.

Christopher Lewington
Dagenham & Redbridge FC



 

Born 23 August 1988, Christopher is an English football goalkeeper who plays for League One club Dagenham & Redbridge.
He played for non-league sides Sittingbourne, Dulwich Hamlet, Fisher Athletic and Leatherhead, before signing with Dagenham & Redbridge in August 2009.
In June 2010 he signed a new two year deal, following the club's promotion from League Two and made his first team debut in the Football League Trophy on 31 August 2010.

 

Andre Bennett

Andre is a versatile midfielder or defender. His father Gary, a SUnderland playing legend is now coach of the Academy's under-12s side.
