Gary Gill

Gary was born in Middlesbrough and has remained in the area for the majority of his professional career, supporting and playing in local clubs and teams alongside many prestigious names.

His professional football career began at Middlesbrough where he enjoyed successive promotions under Bruce Rioch. He then moved to Darlington and enjoyed similar success under Bryan Little and finally Cardiff City. After leaving the professional game he took up a coaching position in San Diego (Southern California) and has also worked with teams in Sweden and Norway. Gary is now a fully qualified English coach.

Upon his return to the UK he took up the position of Assistant Manager at Gateshead Football Club, he then became Manager and stayed with the club until 2002. Gary is now settled back in the North-East with his wife of 7 years and two children. He presents weekly live radio broadcasts for BBC Tees covering predominantely Middlesbrough games although he has covered other North East Teams also.
